Daniel Heimerl

Labmanager

I studied biology during my bachelors, and later got my masters degree in evolution, ecology and systematics, both at LMU in Munich. During those years, I focused mainly on evolutionary behavioural ecology (with some morphology of arthropods on the side), working on sexual selection-related questions and mating behaviour of spiders. After a few years outside of academia, my overarching interest in all things evolution has now lead me to take the position of lab manager at AG Wendling, in search of a (for me) new field of science to explore, interesting research to support and fun to be had in the process.
