I started my medical studies at LMU Munich in 2022 and am currently in my 8th semester. Because of my longstanding interest in medical microbiology and phage therapy, I joined the Wendling Lab in March 2026 via the FöFoLe scholarship program. My MD thesis aims to develop a proof-of-concept that pathogenic Desulfovibrio bacteria strains in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) can successfully and selectively be treated with bacteriophages, potentially leading to the alleviation of IBD symptoms.
